By displaying the architectural details such as door, window, arch, column, corridor and roof, this book clearly and comprehensively reflects the progress of society, the changes of aesthetics and the developmental process of classical style under the condition that the territorial culture is endowed with new connotations.

精 彩 文 摘
古希臘盛期的建筑、羅馬共和盛期與羅馬帝國(guó)盛期的建筑同稱為歐洲古典建筑。他們以石材為建筑材料。在歷史演進(jìn)中,形成了決定希臘建筑形式的柱子格式,稱為柱式。典型的希臘柱式有多立克柱式、愛(ài)奧尼克柱式與科林斯柱式等三種,希臘柱式后來(lái)為羅馬所繼承與發(fā)展。所謂古典柱式包括古希臘的玉柱式和后來(lái)古羅馬發(fā)展了的塔司干柱式和組合柱式,共稱古典五柱式。
Architectures in prosperous times of ancient Greek, Republic of Rome and Roman Empire are called European classical architectures. They were built by stone. The process of history forms the column form of the Greek architectural form, which was called order. The typical Greek order is divided into three types which are Doric Order, Ionic Order and Corinthian Order. The Greek order was inherited and developed by Romans afterwards. The so-called classic order includes the Tuscan Order and Composite Order developed by ancient Rome. They are called five classic orders.

中世紀(jì)藝術(shù)的發(fā)展大致可分為三個(gè)階段:拜占庭藝術(shù)、羅馬式的藝術(shù)、哥德式藝術(shù)。這幾種藝術(shù)都是表現(xiàn)基督教思想的宗教藝術(shù),不論是雕刻、繪畫(huà)、彩繪玻璃等等,都用來(lái)裝飾在教堂建筑上。
The development of art in Middle Ages could be divided into three phases which are Byzantine Art, Romanesque Art and Gothic Art. They are religious art expressing Christian ideas. Sculpture, painting and colored glass are all used to decorate the churches.

受文藝復(fù)興的影響,17~18世紀(jì)在意大利發(fā)展起來(lái)一種建筑和裝飾風(fēng)格——巴洛克建筑。它既有宗教的特色又有享樂(lè)主義的色彩;它打破了理性的寧?kù)o和諧,具有濃郁的浪漫主義色彩;它又極力強(qiáng)調(diào)運(yùn)動(dòng),關(guān)注作品的空間感和立體感,同時(shí)又強(qiáng)調(diào)藝術(shù)形式的綜合手段。雖然大量地繼承了文藝復(fù)興建筑的穹頂、各種立柱和柱頂盤(pán)等,但巴洛克建筑師在使用這些單元時(shí)所表現(xiàn)的自由度卻達(dá)到了前所未有的境界,從而給人以耳目一新、運(yùn)動(dòng)、富麗和可親近的感覺(jué)。
Influenced by the Renaissance, the Baroque style developed in 17th century to 18th century in Italy as an architectural and decorative style. It had religious features and also hedonism colors; it broke the rational tranquility and harmony and had strong romantic colors; it also extremely emphasized sports and paid attention to the spatial sense and stereoscopic sense of the works and meanwhile, emphasized the art forms. Though the Baroque architectures inherited a large number of domes, columns and trabeations of architectures in the Renaissance period, architects of Baroque architectures achieve an unprecedented height in the degree of freedom they applied to the architectures. In this way, the Baroque architectures appeared to be fresh, athletic, gorgeous and amiable.

建筑創(chuàng)作中的復(fù)古思潮是指從18世紀(jì)60年代到19世紀(jì)末在歐美流行著的新古典主義、浪漫主義與折衷主義。新古典主義建筑是指18世紀(jì)60年代到19世紀(jì)末在歐美盛行的古典建筑風(fēng)格。它采用嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)墓畔ED、古羅馬形式的建筑,又稱為古典復(fù)興建筑。浪漫主義建筑是18世紀(jì)下半葉到19世紀(jì)上半葉活躍在歐洲的建筑風(fēng)格。它表現(xiàn)為追求超凡脫俗的趣味和異國(guó)情調(diào)。折衷主義建筑是19世紀(jì)上半葉起至20世紀(jì)初在歐美盛行的另一種建筑風(fēng)格。折衷主義建筑師任意模仿歷史上各種建筑風(fēng)格,或自由組合各種建筑形式,他們不講求固定的法式,只講求比例均衡,注重純形式美,也稱為集仿主義建筑。
The Retro Trend in architectural production refers to the neoclassicism, romanticism and eclecticism popular from 1760s to the end of 19th century. Neoclassicism architecture refers to the classic architectural style prevails in Europe and America from 1760s to the end of 19th century. It adopts the architectures in meticulous ancient Greek form or ancient Roman form. So, the neoclassicism architecture is also called classic renaissance architecture. Romantic architecture refers to the architectural style activating from first half of 18th century to the second half of 19th century, full of transcendent interest and exotic flavor. Eclecticism architecture refers to another architectural style prevailing in Europe and America form the first half of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century. The architects of eclecticism architectures imitate various architectural styles in history or freely group different architectural forms. They pay attention to the fixed forms and only care about the balanced proportion and emphasize the beauty of pure form.
